Description: This product is available on the Windows and Linux platforms. I was the writer for this product on both platforms.

This document is a short, simple introduction to ElectricAccelerator Huddle ("Huddle"), which is a high-performance replacement for the GNU Make, Microsoft NMAKE, and Visual Studio software build facilities. Huddle includes Electric Make, which uses a development team's spare CPU cycles to reduce build times. Electric Make uses a cluster that includes every processor core across a team's systems so that builds occur with the speed of parallel builds. Huddle is the "freemium" version of the company's ElectricAccelerator enterprise product and is meant for a lone developer or a small team whose members are on the same local area network.

Huddle ensures correct builds by using conflict detection and correction algorithms to create results that are identical to those of serial builds. Huddle can also accelerate static analysis tools (such as Coverity, Klocwork, and Parasoft), unit testing, linting, and code coverage tasks. For Visual Studio, Huddle includes an add-in that lets developers execute Huddle builds directly from the Visual Studio IDE.

I published the document in PDF, HTML, and mobile HTML formats.
